Badevtsi village is located 32 km from Veliko Tarnovo and 20 km from Elena town. It is situated on a high hill area facing south-east. On its territory there are Badevtsi springs, which in the 1960 were water-caught for the water supply of Elena town. The village is part of the water collection area of Yovkovtsi water reservoir. This reservoir is massive and one of the biggest in the country. You can go fishing, there are more than 10 types of fish; you can go boat-sailing, camping or find relaxation in the nature there. The reservoir has carp, fathead fish, large perch, white fish, large pike, fresh-water fish, sheat-fish, common roach.
One of the invaluable characteristic features of all in Badevtsi village is its fresh mountain air, which was the urge some time ago to have a health center to treat children with lung diseases and heart diseases.
The surroundings are with a beautiful landscape, part of the Balkan mountain.
The six Thracian tombs provide evidence of the ancient origin of the village; the names of some areas around have Thracian and Roman origin as well.
