The monument is situated on Valchova polyana, a large meadow near Yovkovtsi dam. On the highest point you can see the magnificent enormous sculpture of the courageous hero. No matter what direction you look, you see forests, mountains, blue skies. Some one hundred metres away from the monument a one-century-old oak casts its shadow over an old church. Right next to it you can see St. Petka chapel. Valchan Voyvoda monument was made by Dimo Boychev and Vlado Manikov.<\/p>\n
